Yes, we are leaving on Oct. 2. Some of you I have gotten to know quite well, and some not so well. One of my weak points is not being as social as I should be. I think part of that is because I bore and raised 7 children and that pretty much took all my time and left little to interact with others. I am going to work on that.
But please know I feel a kinship and a bond with all here on punaweb. Some of us have been around from the beginning and some are brand new. And as long as one trys to be civil and contribute positively to this community, I have seen that all are welcome.
We have all reaped lots of positives from Punaweb and I know I can speak for everyone in thanking Rob for this website. I believe it has evolved into something quite unique in the cyberworld. Thanks Rob.
I hope everyone will continue to keep this site what it is meant to be, a positive connection for all who are here in Puna and those who are coming.
The main reason John and I are are heading back to Oklahoma is family. As many of you know, it has been difficult for me especially to be so far from the kids and now they are having oodles of grandkids, and they really want us back...they didn't have grandparents in their lives and have requested us to be in the presence of their children[
]
But we didn't sell our home and so we will be back, perhaps in a year or so. And now I am glad we didn't sell...we don't want to be finished with Puna. Even with the negatives that are here, we still love it. Where isn't there negatives? If you shoo those away, what better place to be living your life than here?
So, as we go off on another adventure in life, we will be sadly leaving but have to do what we need to do. And I will be checking in here to see what you guys are doing, thats for sure...so be good..mom fryhover is watching you[
