Chili Cook off (Texas Style) joke of the week
#21
I will go to the stores after lunch. I think I have seen it at Ross before. When I clicked on the link you gave me it was shown as "Out of Stock" there, so I might need to take you up on your offer! [Smile]

Not a problem. I've taken to ordering it in because it can be so hard to find. Blair makes several hot sauces, but the Mega Death is by far the hottest. the others are ok, but don't leave you sweating behind the ears and on top of your head like MD.[8D]

I know I should put this in the "classified section" but since it's a "hot" topic...

Would there be anyone interested in buying or bartering Hawaiian Chili Peppers?

These buggahs are way hotter than any habanero.

Damon; far be it from me to disagree, but I must the Red Savina Habanero is the 2nd hottest pepper in the world at 580,000 Scoville units. The Naga Jolokia from Thailand just replaced it as the worlds hottest at 1,100,000 Scoville units. I'll be growing them next year. But having tried every pepper I could find in Hawaii, I haven't found anything close to the Red Savina. Sorry Dude. But once We're over there I'll be glad to trade peppers with any chiliheads.

Here we go Dick! Yes, I actually did go to every supermarket, Ross and WalMart, but no Mega Death anywhere. If the offer is still standing please send me a bottle, I promise I will pay for it! [Smile]
PS. My address is on my web site.

That explains my previous mention about the Thai restaurant owner. I ordered a papaya salad. She asked me how hot I wanted it. Being a regular "hot" eater I told her to make it like she was making it for herself. That was a mistake. I ate about half of it but couldint finish. I took the rest home convinced I would finish it later. When I started eating it later my dormant logic voice asked me why the hell I was killing myself. It was off the scale. I've had the "hot" papaya salad from the lady at the farmers market. This one from my local Thai restaurant was from a different dimension.

Oh BS, I may have to join in on this one. None of you are worthy to try my chile.

Anyone can make hot chile. It takes skill to make robust, well balanced chile.

The last "cookoff" I was involved in, years ago, I had my chile. I cautioned those that my chile was mild, but the guacamole on the side was not. People were fearless. They'd eat the chile, bemoan the lack of spice, wince a bit, and pile a big chip into the guacamole. Then, the top of their head would come off.

The guacamole was 99.9 percent wasabi.
