I'm jealous!!!

$3.23 here in Hilo today
But Matson recently reduced it's fuel surcharge to the Islands. That will help somewhat in the months ahead for food purchases. Also airlines have lowered fares substancially in the last 2 weeks although they are still keeping their first baggage charge.

Hawaii will never see gas under $2.00 a gallon....even at costco.

Oil dropped to $65.00 today and the stock market fell almost 500 points. I would have expected that everything would be on the plus side the day after an historic landslide presidental election.

The guess the only really "sure things" in this world are:

1) Death
2) Taxes
3) HELCO rate increases.

Ha ha good one!

When the dow is at 4500, unemployment is 25% and oil is 12.00/ barrel, gas in Hawaii will be less than a buck.
But few will have money for gas or a job to drive to.

$1.74 lowest in Houston
$2.62 Costco Kona

I have 5 months and .62 cents to go till I have to buy Macuu222 that brewsky.

But that is if something like Isreal bombs Iran and Iran mines the straight of Hormuz, which is a very likely thing.

At this rate, the filling stations will have to be paying us to haul the gas away by June.

I remember gas wars in the 70s, where stations got so competitive that gas was 13 cents a gallon.

$1.68 lowest in Houston

If anyone wants to sign up to be a gas price spotter go here:

They need more input. This helps drive the price down.
