What are the hard numbers...

if in 2007 there was only one foreclosure and now there are 3, thats a 200% increase..

There were 3,346 home foreclosure filings in Hawaii in 2008.

Hawaii had a rate of one foreclosure filing for every 0.6 households, according to the year-end report.

Of the top 100 metro areas, Honolulu ranked 97th with 1,647 filings, up 218 percent from 2007.

Hmm

Honolulu is the 48 largest city in the US yet is ranked 97th in Foreclosures.... sounds like good news to me...

the statement "Hawaii had a rate of one foreclosure filing for every 0.6 households, according to the year-end report." does not add up for me... but its been a long day and I am sleepy...

Hawaii was like the 47th on the list of states last year, with hardly any foreclosures. We are still in the bottom half.

How is that number derived? per capita? per home? or per mortgage on a home?

I just heard a rumor that banks are not loaning money for purchases in HPP because its been identified as a high foreclosure area. Does anyone know if this is true?
