Not sure if this was answered before, but can the Castle Block product be utilized over a Post & Pier foundation? If it can, how are the concrete filled forms supported?

It can. The post and pier system would be used conventionally to support the interior floor areas.

Rob, thanks for your response. I will assume then that the outer walls are placed on a footer, and the interior floor supported by the post & pier is tied into these outer walls. Am I on the right track with this?

You are correct for our ICF product - Rastra.

Thanks for the info. I was at a Home & Flower show last weekend and there were several suppliers carrying similar types of this building material and we were able to get a little education. We are leaning towards this type of construction since it is bug proof, wind resistant, fire resistant, mold resistant etc. Perfect for the climate!

There area a lot of what I consider to be false claims of fire resistance in the ICF industry. Many products are made of virgin plastic foams which simply melt in high heat. For this reason I have primarily focused on cementicious type ICF blocks with recycled foam content. These are well tested at four hours of 2,000 degree flame.

Rob, are you referring to the ProTec product rather than the Rastra? Not sure what cementicious is.

Cementicious refers to the type of insulate4d concrete form (ICF) blocks which contain cement in lieu of virgin lightweight plastic. Cenenticious ICF products are heavier and have actual fire resistance.
