whats your favorite rainy day activity...
#21
a friend of ours from o'ahu was supposed to come over today but didn't make it due to the HEAVY rain. we told her that it was crazy for her to drive from downtown hilo to fern forest especially since it was reported that there is a flash flood watch.

i ended up taking a nap on the couch while renee watched sleepy hollow. i have a stiff neck (since yesterday) she massaged that area and suprised me with a foot massage as well. i then reciprocated by massaging her hands and feet. nothing like cozying up with your significant other.

Yep, that's it. That Korean girl is prodigy and a superb player, as is Ana Vidovic.

I recorded Cavatina with my recorder/pan flute duo White Eisenstein on our fifth cd, "Old Friends III". Beautiful piece.

Here's a link to a performance of an Argentine tremolo piece I played in a concert for the Kau Concert Society a while back.

Last night we went to a Charlie Chan "Who done it" play, today snorkeling & the Ukelele Festival on the rainy Kona side.... Tomorrow morning, Aloha Sunday in Hilo & maybe the play up at KMC theater for the afternoon, or waterfall watching (though t his really is great weather to be tile setting, which is what I really should be doing.... but play I must!)
Edit:
The Aloha Sunday Festival was postponed :~( , so did the waterfall/streams runaround in the morning (a REALLY good rainy day activity for those looking to buy here is to 'window shop' neighborhoods... you really get a good view of where water can 'spring up'! Will still go to the play up at KMC this afternoon.

Got the laundry all caught up yesterday, watched old movies, took a walk in the rain just to be outside a little, and spent lots of time snuggling and napping. :-)

And for today, baking and quilting. Perfect weather for that.

I was making a carrot cake yesterday. I had everything in the mixing bowl before discovering I was out of carrots!

Substituted diced apple pieces.

Frosted with a cream cheese/fruitjuice/sugar mix.

It's all gone. [Big Grin]

Hey Greg, aren't you suppose to be at Maku'u now?

Actually we were wondering if the market might be closed today because of the deluge...
