Hi All,
Looks like I will be looking for daycare/pre-school for my little guy (2.5) for a few hours a week.
Live in Mtn. View but will take him where its best ... Any recommendations would be humbly appreciated. Thanks.

Forgot to ask ... Rob, is your daughter still baby sitting ?
POG -
I don't have a direct answer for you...
There is something in your post that is making me respond...and its that we both have a "little guy" that we both want the best for.
I think Pre-school and day care should be paid by tax dollars... and it sucks that "we" don't care enough to finance preschools and day care through state funded taxes.

The more we speak up... the more they will listen.
Ha na Damon,
You know me more than you think .....
M U C H more to the story / between the lines ... in fact, its ooozing out just like that red stuff.
Thanks for you support.
Aloha,
pat

Free, quality, daycare would also have the benefit of reducing the wellfare burdon.
Many single parents would love to work if they didn't have to worry about their Keiki.

I'd like my car to be paid for by tax dollars too.

Paul, can you really put a comparison on these two things?

Someone saying they want tax dollars to pay for x means that they want
everyone else, including you and me, to pay for x. In some cases this
makes sense: we can't all hire our own army or police force.
In matters where we make our own personal choices, eg buying a car,
having a child, making a living as a travelling poet, it's up to the
individual to live by and pay for the consequences.
It's true, tax dollars pay for schools. But children (of certain ages)
are required by law to attend school so that's not a purely personal
choice.
People should do whatever makes them happy, but they shouldn't expect
other people to pay for it.
