SCUBA Sunday / beach day/ water fun APRIL 5
#1
OK, spring vacation is almost over & the kids are likely to be climbing the walls soon....
cyber discussions are causing CTS
SO is driving you nuts
There is sun on the horizon this morning!
the weather is here.... wish you were at the beach????

Pack everyone up for SCUBA Sunday / beach day / water fun
April 5th ~10am ish (or when you get there) until 3 pm ish (or when you leave) at Richardsons Ocean Park near the east end of Kalanianaole ~ 5 miles from Kens Pancake (north is the bay in Hilo, east is then your right hand... if you are looking north)

Don't dive? doesn't matter! Just a fun day at the beach (haven't had a bad one yet...) with lots of friends, a dish to share and water toys to amuse any kids (at heart!) Need a ride? post it!

Low tide around 7 am; mid- high tide around 1 pm... should be good!

We plan on bring kayaks & lemonade and some sort of food to share

EDIT TO BRING FORWARD

Jim & Carey will bring Moringa branches for starts, the paper goods box & grill (if needed)

Others that are interested (from other threads

Liz & Mike
Devany & Wes
Pam & Bob with eggs to trade

Scuba Sunday's are always so great! We will be hobbling but plan to be there. Is anyone bringing extra stuff from their gardens to share? Veggies? Avocado's? We can bring some eggs (if our chickens keep laying like they have the last two days). Possibly tomatoes (have to check with the caretaker to see what our supply is like).

Even if you aren't a diver... well many who come are not. We have a GREAT pot luck BBQ, talk story, snorkel, kayak, swim, play, laugh....

Be there if you can. I know we'd love to see you Smile

We sure will be there!

Not sure yet what we'll bring for the potluck, or what extras we will have by then...

For those who haven't been yet - Don't be shy! This is a warm & welcoming group who made us feel we were part of it from the very first time we showed up. Now we always look forward to the chance to visit with these friends by the bay :-) So come on down!

Gee... I missed this post, as it was not on the front page... sorry for double dipping!

Yes, we will be there. I would like to bring something to grill and some munchies for nibbling while we are sitting around the table talking.

Liz is so right, it is a wonderful group of fun people that welcome new folks as well as the old. We are bringing our snorkeling gear and hoping for a little calmer seas than last month. This will be Wes' first Scuba Sunday as he was in class last month.

It will be great to see Pam walking again!

And I am looking forward to buying some of Liz' eggs!

Must warn you... walking is a relative term for me yet... I just move faster on the walker than last month!

Pam,

You have made incredible progress! I bet you are ready for "walker races". I do hope you are at the very least in less pain and almost ready to be Bob's Nurse for his recovery period. I remember wincing as you got into the truck and thinking "oooohhh she is in pain!". In a few months this will all be behind you and like having a baby, some of the pain memories will be diminished because of the joy you will have at being able to move around so freely again.

renee spoke to the wilsons this morning and they're going to try and make it.

we won't be bringing our grill this time as we've decided on spinach dip and veggies.
