We will be moving into our new house the end of this month and need to get the yard put in. We are looking for landscapers anyone has had a good experience with. We had one bid for 5000. for a 8000 sq. ft yard. way out of line. any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dick,
We used Gunnar Botz, dba Hawaii Island Exotics, to help us get started with our landscaping. He's done some other really nice projects, too. He lives in Leilani, so not too far from you. No idea if he's still in the business, but probably; he's been here a long time. Also, no idea how much he charges these days, but he was very generous with us.

i know renee offered to help with any moving if needed. however, she will not be available due to her mother having taken a turn for the worse (worst?)--she may have suffered a stroke on easter sunday.

I second the recommendation of Paul and Dennis, they used to be our neighbors and did a wonderful job on both their yard and the yard of house we lived in. Super nice guys too.

Mahalo Nui Loa; Mike and Liz for recommending Gunnar Botz of Hawaii Island Exotics. We can't say enough about Gunnar, his bid was reasonable, He started the job on time and did just a terrific job. Put in edging for all the gravel area's around the house, put a 24" border around the fence for plantings and leveled the yard and put down gravel then soil, seeds and soil conditioner. Temporary irrigation to aid the grass in getting started and was just generally a great guy to do business with. I would recommend him for any landscaping job anyone has coming up. Dick & Kathy.
