Many of the criminals may connect with them much better than they could with a college educated counselor. Dog and crew are far from perfect but so what. Few people are as perfect as I am. If you don't like the show don't watch it.

I'm not sure just who you are labelling as clowns here. Is it those who have made mistakes? Those who have made mistakes and express remorse? Those who have made mistakes, express remorse and profess a religious awakening? Those who are public figures and fit one of the previous categories? I suppose Dog should have thrown himself into the volcano to atone for his sins.

So don't watch the "crap". Why the expressed animosity?

Perhaps he would have made a great social worker or guidence counselor but for reasons of his own, he chose a violence-oriented quest for fame and fortune. But the beast resurfaced when he used the "N" word in a racial slur that would have been cause enough for eveyone from office workers to politicians to grocery clerks to lose their jobs and when he got caught, all he had to do was say he was sorry and it was back into action; strutting around like bubba on Saturday night, making millions.

I often wondered how someone with his past was able to get the highly restricted licensing necessary for a job that involves the use of cop paraphernalia and chasing people on public streets.

oink, I could watch a show such as this if someone else was running it but with Dog as the lead character, it certainly is crap and I don't watch it, but thanks to the First Amendment, we have every right to express our views on such crap.

I agree!! I love watching the show (Yes I admit it!). We watch it as a family -my 8 yr old son loves it and I find it a great opportunity for us to talk about what drugs will do to people and their families.

Dog and his Crew have my respect for being themselves (however you want to see them), and doing what they feel is right to help others in bad situations. Granted they do make money (lots) for doing so, but everyone's got to work.

Although I must admit my teenage daughter runs for her room when the theme song comes on!![Big Grin]

well I can't stand dog, but that does not matter, but I have heard that lower Puna has more of america's most wanted than any where else in the lower 48. surprised he doesn't devote a couple of seasons in Puna. not just one episode....hmmmm maybe it would clean things up a bit...snicker hehehhe[Big Grin]

"I suppose Dog should throw himself into the volcano to atone for his sins "

What a great idea! That would be a start, but an added caviot would be to toss in the rest of the clan too ! It just might quiet Kileaua for a while or maybe is would just give pele indigestion.

Yep, I think definately indigestion. Not even pele could swallow that much trash!!

I just realized that throwing trash in the volcano is most likely illegal, in fact since it's in a national park it's probably a federal offense. Undertaking such an endeaver would most likely lead to arrest and a high bail amount possibly requiring a Bailbondsman.

So let's call it a sacrifice to the Volcano God.

there are only about two maybe three reality shows worth the time and effort to turn on the TV, and that is only after I medicate myself too!

How can anyone sit in front of their TV's and watch this four foot eleven inch, two, or three time loser with a Mullet arrest people for jumping bail, and or committing new crimes? I'd rather watch Willie Wonka with my 3 year old!!!!

Although I no longer watch Dog, having a short attention span for most t.v. shows on top of which I have gotten rid of my t.v. after a 4 year stint out of an entire lifetime without it, I totally enjoyed Dog and Hawaii during the first seasons.

I love different kine people--they add so much to the mix. When everybody is the same, look the same, talk the same, think the same,--it's BORING! How do I learn anything new? Just like spice in the soup, differences enliven life.

BTW, my understanding is that Dog was arrested once in his very young days for accessory to murder--he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like riding in the car with the guy who committed murder. I don't remember all the details. I think he admits other errors as well. If we are not allowed to change our lives around and be forgiven, then why would anyone try to better themselves?

Jesus befriended the lepers and the prostitutes. None of us is any better than anyone else even though we like to set ourselves higher than our brothers and sisters who, perhaps, have not had the benefits we have had. What's the old saying? There, but for the grace of God, go I. And "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

It is so easy to judge others while missing our own faults, I think. Luckily, I have made enough mistakes in life to know how easy it is to screw up. I am grateful that God is forgiving.
