Free Kentucky "Grilled" chicken samples today only at KFC.

Im not sure if Hilo is included or not. They didn't include Hilo's Jack in The Box when they were giving away free mini sirloin burgers last week (Hilo was the only Jack in the Box in the country that didn't participate).

Hilo isn't included because it's such a sprawling, vibrant community with a per capita income that leaves Beverly Hills and Central Park West in the dust, and they won't lower themselves to such cheap giveaways. Right? [

Well, you know... because the number of fast food places are so limited in Hilo that they are packed all day long, so maybe they don't need cheap giveaways... the current locations can't keep up with demand as it is... Maybe we need to let them open more so the prices will drop and we can get the promotions also....

I understand that the KFC in Pahoa is honoring this promotion.
But there is a long wait to get your sample[|)]

That's because our Jack in The Box is "SPECIAL" It managed to get privately owned by an indidual who really doesn't have a clue about quality or good customer service.
As for Kentucky Fried Rat", well there's another one of our "special" franchises. They are probably the only ones in the nation that does not serve macaroni and cheese anymore as one of their side choices.

it never ceases to amaze me people want to move here to get away from the rat race, yet once they get here they want all the crap they had where they came from, i guess that's what "they" call progress wall to wall fast food joints, hey why don't they build a lowes by home depot?

C'mon loffelkopffl, they only want a Lowes next to HD if they can also have a super Walmart, super Target, Costco, and Trader Joe's adjoining.

Maybe you should not make assumptions like that...
First off not everyone here "moved here" and maybe they would like to live in the 21st century.
Second maybe some of those that did move here did so because they had to and not because they wanted to and they would like to have some of the "special" things they had back home.
Basically, you might want to try to be a little more empathetic.
And if I could build a few I would, but it seems to make any progress in Puna you have to very very wealthy or know where the bodies are buried.
