looking outside I wonder whether they are measuring the same air I am "seeing" ... it sure doesn't seem "good" outside to me when we can not see the horizon......

Looks like we have an alternate source for vog info. A really good one too! Thanks UH.
I was (am) getting frustrated with the state page - it seems when ever the vog bad - the sensors would go down in the most affected areas. - a good way to keep the averages down.... - suspicious grin
