#71
I saw my doctor yesterday and asked if if there was any swine flu here, he said, "We aren't supposed to talk about that."

Last week Hawaii reported DOUBLE the normal amount of deaths from flu, eight instead of four in one weeks time. Its here alright, but it doesn't much matter. Mabus is in power now and it won't be long before all our young adults are dead from the plague, leaving no defense. China will try to take over the U.S. starting world war III....
Funny how its all unfolding before our eyes but so hard to see.
p.s. anybody under 1000ft elev. should get flood insurance thats coming too.

Well the swine virus has made its way to the island [Sad]

http://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/arti...ocal02.txt

Parents of King Kamehameha Keaau campus received a message that the 2
sick youths attended the Keaau campus. One of the students got the virus while traveling on the mainland; the other lives in the same home.

The parent said that at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, she received an automatic phone message, sent out to all families of Kamehameha students.

"All it said was that there has been two confirmed cases of the swine flu from KS campus, and the children are -- one is in 11th and one is in fifth grade," she said. The high school's classes ended May 20, while the middle school's classes ended last Friday.

I Guess it was only a matter of time [B)]

Received a heads up about the flu problems ........ pick up a surgical mask for the flight home, well that and washing hands repeatedly when out and about.

Went to Longs (next to Safeway) Hilo, Prince Kuhio Plaza, I purchased the last box of surgical masks!

Having food on hand enabling people to skip shopping for a month or so is a good idea also.

So update, when I flew back to the mainland on May 9th there were no masks being worn at the Hilo Airport. In Oahu there were less than 5 masks that I saw and they were being worn by what looked to be Asian tourists (they are always prepared and are accustom to using masks).

Best wishes all and I washed my hands every opportunity I had and didn't get sick luckily.
