New leadership at HPP Neighborhood Watch
#1
While I was in Texas for Confederate Memorial Day, the HPP Neighborhood Watch elected new leadership . . . and it's me. It seems my name was put into nomination to head it up even though I wasn't there. Since no one else's name was put forward, this is not exactly a triumph of the competitive electoral process. I will, however, do what I can to take the HPPNW to a new level of activity and effectiveness.

I would invite all HPP residents, especially those who have been critical or skeptical of HPPNW in the past, to join in and help us. The next meeting is Saturday, June 6 at 9 a.m. at the HPP activity center.

Cheers,
Jerry

The people of HPP must be pretty smart to elect you!

Things are looking better for HPP already!

Good luck.

Your status as a confederate stood you well in your absence Wink

Yea! Jerry. You are a communicator... even off island.
I see Jeff offered help.
How about getting a state-of-the-art message board happening.
A place to daily post info.
Loose dogs... Garbage dumping... pig entrails... that way we build up a LOG instead of loose talk story that ends up as more story, no action.
Down at our end of 5th and Maku'u, I see cars, pickups, slowly trolling the street. They scope out our property and our dogs chase them off. It would be helpful if there was a way to log in these 'sitings' with a simple discription, date, time, type of vehicle... The other day, a newer model car slowly drove down the street, on the driver's side was a sign in the left rear window that read "Official Business". Which means nothing. I could have printed it up myself.
It's just a way to be concious for ourselves and our neighborhood.
Mahalo.

Aloha Jerry this fine day. You may not be aware that there are HPPOA Committee Chair Guidelinesin the Office. They were developed so that there would be continuity and accountability between the charge of each committee and it's reporting to the Board and the Membership. Obviously, the Guideliness work only if people know they are there, and if Board Members are aware of them. At some point, HPPOA will have it's own easily functioning message board. Until then, Punaweb works fine, at least for me.
I applaud your energy.
Please call Sara at the HPPOA Office and get a copy of the Committee Guidelines. The mere fact that you are communicating Minutes in this forum, shows you 'get it'.
Way to go.
