Looking for a roofer - Pahoa

I am looking for some recommendations on a roofer to do a metal roof in Pahoa Village. Anyone have some good experiences to report?

Al Brandimart is very good and not afraid of heights. He works with metal. I lost his number but he usually is around Pahoa at some point.

I noticed the other day that HPM owns a roofing company. They only had offices on Oahu and Kauii though. Do people in Puna use them? Rob I would be very interested to hear how yours turned out. I am trying to come up with some cost estimates and recommendations for the small hoem we are planning in HPP. I am hearing $7.50 - $14.00 psf installed.

I have been unsuccessful for some reason in getting roofers to return calls.
I think I may just do it myself. Find out if I'm too old for this stuff.

I was desperately trying to hire someone to do some work at a rental we have here last summer and same thing. I could not figure out why it is so hard to give someone large sums of money. What gives? I think when I find these situations that business must be really good for them and maybe I need to step in and open a similar business to take some of it (or a lot of it) away from them so maybe their phones do not ring quite so much. It'd be doing them a favor... right?

Did you find a roofer? My neighbors have a small family roofing business, operating approx 8 yrs. Brothers who are young and still strong (he-he). They've done several of them in my immediate area if you need references. You can call Greg at Sonic Roofing 965-9213 or his cell 938-6875
