Oh how the pendulum swings! Give Emily enough exposure and surely she will embarrass the whole lot of them. Hopefully enough so that come the next round of elections the voters will be truly tired of their shenanigan. But then again, how many times have I thought that?

But really, things are not as bleak as they seem, the days ahead should provide plenty of fodder for Greg's cartoons!

And let's not forget the lesson Bernard Akana taught us all, Don't Worry, Be Happy!

I wouldn't be so sure. This bunch is pretty much shameless and beyond embarrassment.

Resolution 201 passed the council 5-4 (Onishi,Naeole,Yoshimoto,Enriques,Ikeda voted yes Ford,Hoffmann,Greenwell,Yagong voted no)

Resolution 201 would strip councilman Dominic Yagong of his chairmanship of the Finance committee and relegate him to chairing the Public Safety and Parks and Recreation committee. It would also replace councilwoman Brenda Ford with Ka’u councilman Guy Enriques as the head of the Public Works and
Intergovernmental Relations committee.

Resolution 202 was withdrawn

Resolution 200 passed also

Resolution 200 would strip councilman Pete Hoffmann of his vice chairmanship of the council and replace him with Puna councilwoman Emily Naeole.

Emily Naeole is doing just what Safarik did.

Talk the Puna talk but walk the Hilo walk.

Assume the best and ask questions.

Well, it's pretty clear the Council doesn't give a heaping poop about what is the preference of the public. Nobody in attendance spoke in favor of those resolutions but it didn't matter. The State of Hawaii should be renamed the State of Old Boys. Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Hawaii. [Sad]
