One of the most beautiful experiences I have had in Hawaii, of the many I could catalogue, is when I went to Christmas services at the little green church in Hanalei, on the Island of Kauai. They sang in Hawaiian/English and two gorgeous girls hula'd slowly and beautifully to the music.
I am bringing my older sister with me to Puna, on the off chance she might knock some sense into me. We will be there on a Sunday, and I was wondering if there are any transcendentally wonderful services in Puna, of the kind I described above. Was also wondering if that little church --the painted church that was moved?-- near the end of the road....and the beginning of another road... has services on Sundays?
I don't want to ask too much of the world, but if there is a church service with a hula, or that is sung at least partly in Hawaiian, that would be great.
In the meantime, praise the lord if you are in Puna!
