Rainfall measurements?
#1
Anyone got any rainfall totals over past 24 hrs, 48 hrs, week? I forgot where to find the specific local data on the web.

Anybody believe we have monsoon seasons here? I've seen plenny monsoons since moving here (Big Isle) in 1977. And this seems like one of them. I feel even more sorry for people and animals without shelter during these times. Thinking of letting one of my hens come sit in the house!

1.01" on Thursday
1.50" Friday
2.14" yesterday
4.03" since midnight.

Our rain gauge counts from Midnight to Midnight. Below is a link to the noaa hydrology site where you can look at what the official rain gauges are saying. Link at the top (Hawaii Rainfall Summary) will take you to the listing that shows 3, 6, 12 and 24 hour amounts.

Thnx for the info, Dick and Jane. (Wasn't there a 1st grade book by that name eons ago?)

Jane, I appreciate the hydrology link. Dick, where do you live in Nanawale? Upper, closer to Hwy 132, or lower toward Mauna Kea Road? I'm in the upper part. anyway, thnk you both. fs
