I miss the scent of the wild grass which smells like curry to me. It took me 3 years to figure out where the smell was coming from.
Kept my nose out the window of the car like a happy dog just to breathe it in. Please send 1) buckets of rain 2)a pair of coqui's 3)a baggy of the curry grass so I can feel like I am there too. Thanks for the post it made me smile.

Lovebirds chirping on the lanai...a cardinal hops in the open door and allows me to scoop him up and guide him outside. He does not bite, but studies me. I pause and drink his pretty crimson in before my open hand boosts him up into flight. This little native will visit me again. Mahalo.
