The Bunny Goes All YouTube on Me

"... whoever survived the lack of water and vegetation." -- tada

I'm pretty sure the lack of vegetation (and maybe the lack of water) was a direct result of the overpopulation of rabbits.

Anyone ever see the movie "Harvey" with Jimmy Stewart? It is a favorite of mine from the 40's. Harvey was a six foot invisible rabbit and Stewart's best friend. The story was based on an old Czech-Sudeten German legend of the pyka, a giant, sentient rabbit visible only to believers.

I once found a white domestic rat under my couch. I wonder what that was a manifestation of or sign of.

Just because he is pretty doesn't mean he is foo foo. He is a survivor --- the last of the Mohicans, bunny-wise. There used to be many bunnies. He has outlasted them all.

There is cause to be wary though. An I'o was seen eyeing him from the branches of an ironwood tree. The I'o was larger than the bunny. Everyone think good thoughts for this little survivor. He was "owned" by the previous owner of the house, and was left behind by him. He has survived with no food or water other than what he can gather from the land.

OMG that's so sad. Where does he live? He's adorable!

He's actually a very happy bunny I think. He lives at my place, which is vacation rental at the moment. My guests love him. But the I'o has been hovering lately. Pray for bunny. The I'o is..well, I had no idea they got that big. Bunny is not used to watching for things from the air....only from the ground.

He doesn't have to watch the air, just watch for a bird-shaped shadow on the ground. If it's getting bigger - BAD, if it's getting smaller - GOOD.
Cloudy days: well I guess he (she?) is toast.
