gas thief

Beware. There is a man who goes around asking if you will give him some gasoline. He often says that he never has run out of gas before. If you agree he will pull out a siphon hose and take some gas from your car. He has been known to enter people's property at night and siphon gas from their cars, or take gas cans that have some gas in them. I understand his name is Terril.

Christine, the guy's name is Torrel (not sure if spelled right, but it is phonetically correct).
Stay away from him. Never allow him to syphon your tank. It could damage intake screens, your fuel level sending unit, etc. he is an icehead. Don't do business with him, and when you see him flagging you, just hit the gas pedal and wave goodbye!!

Thanks, I know about him. I just want to warn others. Several friends have found him in their garage at night, and one friend was robbed of important items he were selling for needed income. The police know about him, but he needs to be caught redhanded in order for act.

I once caught a guy that fits that description in my back yard. I saw him through a window. I yelled "Hey you, what are you doing here!?" He just ran off. My neighbor saw him too and chased him down the road. He ran into the bushes, then we couldn't find him.

Next time, don't say anything ... Simply sneak right up on him and say "boo, you are being watched." He will not come round your hood again. That said, anything else after this that transpires is up to you.

aloha,
held them down 'till police,

There was a slightly built white guy in front of Kea'au Foodland yesterday asking everyone who went in or out if they would let him siphon gas. He said he had run out of gas. Seemed odd to me that he wasn't asking for money, but to siphon your gas.
