I second Peter, he is very responsive.....didn't have any luck with Al - he was always to busy or doesn't respond quickly to inquiries.
Both have retainer rates that start at $3,500, unless you have specific tasks that need to be done. noel noel

did you all use a Real Estate Attorney when you bought your homes, and or land? Secondly did you feel it was absolutely nesessary, or were you involved with some certain circumstances that deemed it necessary to have one on hand?

If you have a good real estate agent it is highly unlikely you would need an attorney to review your documents or assist in the closing.

Once again I am seeking advice from Punaweb members. The kids are buying a house in the Seattle/Dupont area. The owner was defaulting on payments and gave power of attorney to the realtor to sell the house. They also turned the deed over to the bank. It sure seems to me that this calls for the advice of a real estate attorney. Do any of the Punaweb members live in Seattle or near Dupont and can recommend an attorney?
Unfortunately, my son-in-law's company did not give him permission to work from Hawaii. So, for the time being they will move to Washington in hopes that the climate for telecommuting will change. My daughter did the same and eventually she was able to get permission to telecommute. Mahalo, your help is very much appreciated. Rose C

If he deeded the house to the bank than he doesn't own it anymore, therefore, he can not give a POW to the real estate agent. If he is just defaulting on his mortgage than the bank will foreclose on him. He still can not sell the house unless the bank agrees to the short sale. I certainly would talk to an attorney.
