RIMPAC - Crisismapping Exercise May 14 - 20, 2012
Thank you for your interest in volunteering to be part of the Quick-Nets Crisismapping Exercise for RIMPAC.

The purpose of Quick-Nets is to set up communication (cell phones, text messaging, and Internet) as quickly as possible in the wake of a natural or man-made disaster. The goal for Quick-Nets is also to provide local and global websites that allow collaboration and crowd sourcing. See the focus sheet for more info http://quicknets.org/documents/QuickNets_Brochure.pdf.

Humanity Road is providing exercise planning support for the Crisismapping Exercise for this event. Volunteers participating in the crisis mapping exercise will be provided training on the Quick-Nets program including aspects of the exercise itself as well as filtering, categorizing and Geo-locating inbound incidents on the Quick-Nets system. This volunteer assignment can be done from the event location or remotely online. You will need access to the internet and the ability to join the working team via Skype.

Please complete the below form which will enable us to get you set up for training and scheduling for the crisismapping exercise. Thanks!
