Hawaiian Airlines will start nonstop 3 times a week service to Aukland, New Zealand starting in March of next year. I can't wait for this one. Air New Zealand charges a fortune to fly there from Honolulu. Hopefully now with competition...fares will come back down to earth!

Hawaiian just announced lower inter island airfares across the board. $11.00 less each way may not seem like much from Hilo to Honolulu...But every little bit helps!

HA is also implementing a turbo prop division for inter island operations as well - read lower priced yet - the dash 8's cheap to run and easy to fly
Thinking out loud..... H.A worried about Southwest? who else could be chomping at the bit to enter the inter island routs? or are the b717's getting up in hours? The short take and landing (read cabin pressure cycles) must be hard on them..........
Ether way - more flights, inter island connections and cheap to run airplanes a good thing

too bad they didn't lower the amount for the "miles" cost on the flights. But any break is better than no break.
