Hi,
I'm Quentin.I'm new to the forum. I know that forums are a good place to learn and interact with other people , so that People can share their experience with each other.

What I don't understand is, What are Spambots and why are they started? They, on the most part, easy to spot do to the way the sentences read. Not rocket science to spot. Do the mine for email address? Precursor to a Troll?

the spammers are just another form of advertisement, but I see your point Royall it's hard to believe someone actually has a job doing that and gets paid!

The spambots are getting more clever but haven't quite passed the Turing Test yet.

This one is a good example, just made some generic posts here and there to lay the groundwork and then came back and added the links. Thanks dwedeking, I didn't realize that just having the links themselves was valuable to them, regardless of the number of clicks.
