This news is for Oahu but gives a preview of the Kau upper forest reserve plans. The intruder proof fence is working at all the ground invasive species out. Invasive birds are probably being eradicated if they enter the area.

Record number of seabirds hatch after predator-proof fence installed
It's such good news to see the path to extinction being turned around. DLNR are the only ones working on PREVENTING EXTINCTION. I don't see any of these bellowing blowhards doing anything about not only preventing extinction but restoring endemic populations. How is this "evil"? I prefer to call them the Department of the Aina and Pele's Bounty.
