Ride needed from Hilo to Kona January 1st

Is anyone going to Hilo to Kona (or Mt. View would be great) on January 1st? Early morning hours?

I rented my car out, they paid paypal and there's a 10 day hold on it from my bank. Never had that happen before. And, especially this time of year, I'm too broke to take a taxi.

I'm going to try and get the bus schedule to see if they're running on the first also.

I can pitch in for gas and certainly owe you one for another time. Either a trip to Kona or some kind of work. I have a pretty big banana bunch to contribute for your ohana also.

The Hilo to Waikaloa buses run on the holiday... probably not enough help for you...most of the island routes do not have holiday schedules. Link:
