Care for a spot of rain?
#1
We had 4" overnight....not even close to the most I have seen - of an inch an hour for over 24 hours...but more rain than we have seen in quite a while...everything is now watered! ADDED downtown Keaau ~500' - noon - sunny, warm, perfect & no watering needed!

Since we'll be moving to the Big Island by the end of the year I'm very interested in the weather...And it would be just outstanding if reporters could say where they live and at what elevation...

My wife and I are here visiting her brother in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Had 3.9" of rain last night. Catchment tank is overflowing.

We're about halfway up Maku'u and my rain gauge showed 5 inches when left for town this morning about 6:30, it was empty Monday morning. I'm just glad I don't live in Boston, they are expecting a Nor'easter to bring blizzard conditions and somewhere between 2 and 3 feet of snow over the next few days.

Nanawale, I think about 400', ...I had 5 inches in my little catchment bucket to water my plants with...didn't need to water them today, though. 78 this afternoon, sunny, no rain for about 7 hours. Just started raining again and it's 7:50PM and 68 degrees! Whew...there is my weather for the day. Smile
