Over due Mahalo to Carey

Over the years Carey has been an outstanding source of information on this site. Never crass or complaining, she has useful information seemingly at her fingertips and it is dependable. Very hard to count how many times she has been there for us.

I want to mahalo her for her spirit, inetlligence and efforts. If Punaweb is useful to the community she is a big reason.

She is a shining beacon of karmic goodness! Always posting her plants and other wares in the farm/garden and non-classifieds giving a helping hand where its needed.
Always posting events (usually malama da aina events) like cleaning up the beaches. Always being the community organizer. Not just punaweb owes you thanks but the whole Big Island! Thanks for caring about our Island Carey you are a true rolemodel.

Rob, thanks, but really it is this forum that supplies most of the information .... some of the stuff just triggers the circular file in my brain..& then I use the search...if you were to take down the archive, my knowledge base would be gone! (besides, I am not the only one here, the whole community is supplying the dynamic of this forum...)

I do want to thank everyone for their thoughts, but am also going to ask that this thread stops.

I really do not want to be singled out. So many of the posters here make this site & much of the local knowledge I have has been handed down through this forum, or through contacts I have made on this forum...so really everyone is a big part of the search knowledge I use (I use the search engines, but Lord knows I have nowhere near the IT to be a search engine!)

I also do realize that for any one the has a positive statement, there may be a line of those that may have neutral to negative thoughts, and I HAVE posted things I wish I had not. I am trying to wait a little longer before I send some posts...usually that time allows me to modify my response to a more moderated response...but I do know that I have not held back at times & do know that is not as nice & kind as I would like to be..

Finally, much of the responses I might give has come from the diversity of this forum. I may at times feel that another poster is....ummm...waaayyy out there...but I have come to really appreciate the wide range of responses to most anything here. Studying the sciences at the university could lead one to feel that many issues are much more black & white... and it really helps me in my studies to realize how many issues can have soo many different viewpoints. And I do try to realize that each and every one of the viewpoints has a background to it that makes it valid to the person who maintains it. That is one of the most important lessons I have learned here.
