Anyone know what type of tree.plant this is?

My father in law took it off a tree (?) in the front yard. Might be a really big tall bush as well, not sure.[:p]

The Calyx at teh bottom of the fruit looks like a Vaccinium, & the leaf looks like some of the subspecies of V. lanceotum...but this is a mere guess

the seeds will sprout easily, if you clean them good, they are related to the common Beach Naupaka seen along the coasts and in resorts but the 'half flowers' are upside down (face the other way) and the fruit are white and float on the beach type...

Mahalo!!!!! That's awesome! I was worried I had found another thing I was going to have to start ripping out! I have quite enough invasives in my yard, I am glad this is not another one. I never noticed flowers on it, but it was kind of buried under some other junk plant stuff. Hand clearing is a bit slow going [:p] Thanks again! I will try to start some in some containers on the lanai as they are quite pretty.[Big Grin]
