$79 a week car rentals
#1
http://www.thrifty.com/

Sign up for email specials, some big savings are coming soon when the weather gets hot. I looked back and they had $79 a week last year for some weeks in August and September from Kona.

Nothing fancy, just small economy cars.

2 years ago I got a Kia Soul from them for $99 a week in November, I really liked it.

Of course tax and BS charges are extra.

Thrifty has become my favorite rental company, with Hertz being my least favorite.

I have Farm Bureau insurance and they give me a cheap rider for any damage to rental cars that covers our deductible, Attorney fees and a large bail bond if I had an at fault accident and all other expenses for $29 extra a month. I joined AAA and make sure I have my insurance card from FB and AAA card, and a letter of credit from my bank in case I ever had to post bond over the amount AAA/FB already will pay for an accident. Only stipulation is I can't be drunk or stoned.[:p]

So check it out and post it here when the rates hit the bottom later this summer.

As always, I posted way to much

Be prepared [:p]

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.
