Hibiscus tea plants

I am looking for the type of hibiscus used for making tea. I believe it is called the "Rosell" variety. Anyone have any or know where I could purchase some?

I can bring you in some seeds or the plant itself. Stop by Fresh Farms in mountain view on Old volcano rd ( next to bakery and video store). I've called the plant 'red zinger' but the tea is delicious and magenta colored.

We drove through Mt. View on the Old Volcano Rd. twice last Saturday looking for your store and never saw it, but we did not know specifically which stores you were next to. Maybe you need a flashing neon sign -LOL.

Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is also called Jamaica tea or Florida cranberry and the calyces are used for tea or 'cranberry sauce'. There is another hibiscus with red flowers where the flowers are used to add color to tea.

They're the only store between the one video rental place and the one bakery. Together, these are the only three businesses on Old Volcano Road in Lovely Downtown Mountain View. You must have blinked.

i think alot of people have never been to the mt. view village. it is behind the aloha station. you have to turn off the belt and take the little loop on old volcano road. then you will find the video store, bakery and the new farm store. coming from hilo side if you get to the post office youve missed it. coming from volcano take the first left after the post office. if you see the 3 signs for the 3 business that sign is on the corner of old volcano road and the hwy... hope that helps

Mt View is just past Mountain View school, before the post office. Past the 13mm, and the light at Kulani, maybe all the way to mm14, waaaay past the 76 station.

it (Fresh Farm) is NOT on the hwy, its on a side road on (north) side of hwy, same side of hwy as the gas station/post office etc, (behind all those old junky building seen from hwy on right coming from Hilo way and near the Mt View Stone Cookie place... the hibiscus is often called Red Zinger, the juice is seen often in healthfood sections of stores with the 100% juices, its one of the cheaper juices.

Yeah, mountain view village is on Old Volcano Rd...a little side road off the highway, easy to miss if youve never been here. The mountain view gas station is a good landmark, try mapping our address 18-1325 Old Volcano Rd. Fresh Farms is open 9am - 5:30 pm everyday except Saturday so thats why you didn't see our neon sign! Keep your eyes peeled for our roses, I set up a plant table outside loaded with rose plants. We are hopeful to be open 7 days a week come August but until then it's Sunday thru Friday. Fresh harvests on Saturdays and Wednesdays and we do take orders in advance for multiple pounds of produce, herbs, and flowers. I brought in a red zinger start ($1) and some zinger seeds so come check 'em out if you like.
