Hawaii Bail?
#1
So this recent carjacker one Alkalone Cruz-Balles bail was set at $12,000 for lets see... If I got it right, we've got assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft auto, and endangering a minor...did I miss anything?

"First-degree robbery is a Class A felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and auto theft is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment.

Cruz-Balles remains in custody at Hawaii Community Correctional Center in lieu of $12,000 bail."

Now this other recent arrestee one, Edward Fuhrmann, was caught growing pakalolo plants in HPP, the terror! And his bail was set at $36,000!

"...charged Fuhrmann with two counts of first-degree promotion of marijuana, one count of attempted first-degree promotion of marijuana and three counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $36,000."

Anyways, I find this absurd! Apologies for poor formatting my source is a 2x4 in touch screen at the moment.

The further ironic part will be this:

The "assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft auto, and endangering a minor" punk will eventually be released pending trial.

Yet, he will never show up and will become wanted. He will eventually be rearrested and again granted bail, released and this circle jerk will continue on and on.

Similar to the punk who robbed those campers.......

Now, the pot grower will stand trial, be convicted and have every asset he owns forfeited and be totally ruined.

I am quite sure the future holds a bright promise that the name "Alkapone Cruz-Balles" will be in the news for a very long time and very often.

I read an article about the pot grower, and I dont have an opinion about the legality of marijuana, but what upset me about it was that he was really running it as a business- and they took out a good businessman. HE sounds like someone who could run anything. He invested 500k or something into this bunker, and it took him 3 yrs to recoup his money. He wasnt getting rich. HE was waiting for the sale of marijuana to be legalized here. HE was filing tax returns and paying taxes also (as a self employed businessman). He was growing some kind of designer strain that is in high (no pun intended) demand.

JOSE IS FREE ON $60,000 BAIL. Vaughn is still in HCC in lieu of $12,000 bail.

http://hawaiitribune-herald.com/sections...asion.html

According to the article above, JOSE is facing unrelated charges that he sexually abused 2 minors. He is scheduled for trial September 3 before Kona Circuit Judge Elizabeth Strance. JOSE who is considered dangerous is able to post bail and is released from jail?

One of the victims was only 6 and Jose is back on the streets!!!!!!!

Yup!

Thanks to Mitch Roth!

Which, when we see this crap - is exactly the opposite of the platforms he ran on.

The pot grower is in more trouble!

Ken,
Does Mitch Roth have any say in setting the Bail for crimes, or is it left up to the discretion of the Judge?

Judge sets bail - Prosecutor can make recommendations.

Can't dispute the evidence on this thread.

People busted for the COMMERCIAL promotion of Pakalolo will face stiffer BAIL than dangerous criminals.

That's how it is folks!
