OK - so here is a recap of Punaweb 2013 so far in no particular order.
Camping on your property - BAD
Albezias - BAD
Helicopters - BAD
We have had car jackings, an underground bunker, earthquakes (a few a month), killings, possibly a baby thrown from a truck, dog attacks, shark attacks, Super Moon, meteor showers, and shootings (Gun and a spear gun).
Speaking of guns - you either hate them or you make love to them it seems
Coconuts may or may not kill you when falling from a tree
We have multiple BBQ places in a short distance plus $7.25 an hour pay!
You can see space aliens (actually their ships) by driving and filming out your car window at the same time.
Baby Boomers are ruining Social Security
Development in Puna - kina of an oxymoron statement right!?
Speaking of development - you either hate it or you want Puna to be like the mainland. Seem to be the only two schools of thought on this particular matter.
Property tax - PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE or you neighbor just might turn you in!
Thanks to a storm that never materialized we learned we could cook pizza on a grill.
KFC went belly up - but a local business opened up in it's place - I ate there - they are good!
Zippy's opened up in Hilo - I wasn't impressed and won't be back
You can drink and drive but don't dare drive without insurance
If you use a public restroom - for God's sake FLUSH IT!
We have a new speed limit on a stretch of 130
Roundabouts - they are a comin'
DUI check points - they are illegal, no they are not, yes they are, not they are not....
GEO thermal is going to destroy the island first then the world!
Some people on here can smell GEO thermal from miles and miles and miles away within minutes of a release!
Did I mention that GEO thermal is going to destroy the world?? Mua ha ha ha
Hele on bus started charging to ride.
Hele on bus raised their rates to ride.
Puna has its first MLB player!!
If you live in Orchidland you have to fill your own potholes.
Someone's mother needs a motorized scooter - hope they got it.

You don't need hurricane insurance, yes you do, no you don't yes you do....
And about the only thing that ALMOST everyone agrees on is that the Eastside could really use a Costco. Even the people that say they are against them (you know because they are a big evil corporation) would still shop there.
