I thought it would be neat to start a recipe thread.....Hawaiian style!
Totally AWESOME macadamia nut dip
1/2 pound macadamia nuts toasted
2 cloves raw garlic
1 packed cup of cilantro
Juice of 1 lime
A pinch of shredded coconut meat
A pinch of salt
A splash of olive oil
Throw everything in a food processor, and blend until mixed. Keep blending and tasting until you find a texture you like. I prefer it kinda chunky

These are great!
Best Burgers (Could use a more Tropical name!)
3 lbs. lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. fresh grated ginger
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
6 tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. Soy sauce
1/2 c. Water
Combine all ingredients. Form into 8 patties. BBQ (or can be pan fried). Delicious!
Hey, Oceangirl, what do you dip into that delicious sounding Mac Nut Dip?

Thanks! Those burgers sound onolicious! I usually eat the macidamia dip with pita chips, but any savory chip will do

Both sound sooooooo good! I bought some local cookbooks as part of a fundraiser for a friends kid. You just reminded me that I need to start working my way through that cookbook!
