Decided to take a walk down Malolo on the shores side and a new 100' tower was like BAM!
They sure got that up quick. Maybe by the end of this month everyone will now have 5 bars in the area. The new tower is suppose to cover from the top of the school down to the beach. Should be a big improvement in coverage.
Kinda ironic that the house across the street from the tower is for sale.

My understanding is that the cell companies (AT&T, Verizon) need to get permits before they can install their antennas on the tower. The hope is that will be done by August or September.

We just got the neighbor notification letter from AT&T's contractor for its application to add another antenna array and fenced-in area at the VZ monopole at Leilani's big playing field. The permitting process has just begun... there will probably be public hearings, etc.
We're 700 ft from the pole and of course love the VZ service. To be sure, I'm glad you can't see it from the house. VZ's 35 kW generator is nice and quiet - have listened for it during power failures but haven't heard it.

Is there any chance these new towers will improve the ATT coverage in lower HPP?

This map isn't coverage from the proposed ATT Leilani site. Would like to see one, though.
