serious dog bite in HPP
#1
Just saw photos of the lady's arm that got bitten by a dog while she was walking in HPP on 10th st. The photos are really very graphic and bloody so i wont post them, but she will have serious medical issues and expenses. I would carry a large stick while walking in HPP.

I always carry a stick while walking in any subdivision.

The post says she had a 2 year old with her. Her ripped up arm may well have saved the child's life.
Can the owner be prosecuted, or would that be too much to ask?

OMG, this sounds terrifying. Can you taze dogs?

Taze? That dog should have been shot. It is a menace to life and limb.

Yes, I understand, but a tazer might be carried around on a walk a bit easier than a loaded gun.

granted this is just one site but it appears (like I previously thought/heard/stated that tasers are illegal for the general public to carry/use in Hawaii.

This is the dogbite victim I had written about earlier. There was no reports or proof until now. Even the neighborhood watch did not believe this incident has happened until the pictures came out. It is quite horrific. I wonder how to help the family, how to help our neighborhood become more dog safety conscious?

We used to walk a lot,the wife n i.
We carried doggy treats with us.
Even the most gnarly of the pitbulls that would menace us,soon looked forward to our walks.
I am horrified that any one would have this happen to them from another persons pet .
The humanes society via the courts or local police should dispose of this particular animal post haste.
May this woman recover well and our prayers are with her and the child she was protecting.
