I want to add some fragrant plants on the windward side of our home to let the trades bring that scent in across the lanais to the interior. Are there any suggestions for a non-invasive plant that would grow in central HPP?

Gardenias (my favorite is the na'u or tahitian gardenia an intoxicating scent- the most fragrant imo)
^ are more of a shrub
Puakenikeni
Plumeria
^ are both more trees.

Tabernaemontana is quite fragrant.
Michelia champaca is also quite fragrant (it's the base for Chanel No. 5, as a random factoid).
Michelia figo is a smaller plant, and has a banana-y smell.

Fragrant varietals of angels' trumpet, which also leave room for shorter plants below.
Fragrant yellow cestrum.

We have a plant we have been told is "Lei Pikake" that is a type of jasmine and smells great; it has grown into a pretty good size bush, but doesn't seem to be spreading through the area at all.

We have gardenia, pikake, pukinini, plumeria, rose, dracaena, citrus (Meyers lemon & limes stay fairly small & bloom most of the year), lavender, rosemary, thyme & some low mints in our front path

I have gardenias and pikake. Ginger is great for fragrance, but I suggest you grow it in a large pot to prevent it from spreading out of bounds and creating work for you. Roses do well here. There are many tropical rhododendrons (vireyas) that are intensely fragrant as well as having eye-popping flowers. Citrus, when in bloom, is an absolute delight, with the added benefit of fruit. At 1200' I am a bit high for plumeria, but it should do well for you in HPP. Angel's trumpet (Brugmansia) is also striking and very fragrant, and because it branches a lot, it has lots of perches for fragrant orchids. The blue and white walking iris does well under trees and has a sweet fragrance, but tends to spread.

Not all angel trumpet (nor vireya) are fragrant.
There is a "day blooming" jasmine.

I never said that all vireya are fragrant, but many of the ones that are are intensely so - especially the Konori hybrids. Brugmansias "Monster White", "Grimaldi" (yellow- gold) and "Suaveolens" (pink) are fragrant.
