question about what will grow in Volcano
#1
I understand from reading this forum (invaluable by the way!) that citrus and coconuts will not grow at 3700 feet. But what fruits and vegetables are folks able to grow up there? Much thanks!

Shouldn't have any trouble growing citrus. You might get a coconut palm to grow, but you won't get any nuts.

Stone fruit (peaches & some of the best plums I have had) and some of the low chill apples
coffee
tea
of course the anthurium & orchids that are growing at many of the farms
some citrus (actually most - but the hardier zoned ones will fruit more)
many native trees & ferns
many "salad veggies"
most melons & squash

of course, this is with proper water/soil control (no soil, or too much or little rain (depending on which side of Volcano you are looking) will effect the plants... for most the sun is sufficient...even with the clouds on the wet side...
