All the roads paved (check)
Private Water (check) Mail delivery (check) RoadRunner/DSL (check) Residential Lots (check) New Police station (check) New Fire Station (check) No SSP Fees (check) County maintained RD(check) Bus service (check) Granted some roads need to be paved and they are repaving those roads one at a time. I think they are much better then gravel or riddled with potholes. What's not to like? They are smaller .3 acre lots but I can still grow all the fruit trees I need. It's all the space I need. It is a bit warm here but that's a plus too especially after a month of rain. Dry out faster and no mold. Soon we will all have 5 bars on our cell phones. 150' tower just went in.

The only thing I can think of for my circle(North Puni Mauka Loop) is street light. Other than that, its all good!!

Negative, not that kind of street light. Street lights on the poles, to light up the streets at night. Strange that Puni Mauka Loop has none, its pitch dark at night.

Most nights, when out walking the dog in Hawaiian Beaches - we don't need flashlights as the moon is quite bright! I'm not sure that any street other than Kahakai has street lights. I've never taken notice.

Streetlights may be overrated. When I lived in Discovery Harbor, down near South Point, they had a streetlight every other house--I could see 5 from my bedroom window, and I had to put up curtains to block them out. As you approached the area, there was a glow in the sky, like a fire. I prefer to see the stars!
Kudos on the civil discourse, folks! ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(>

Streetlights are bad for the observatories. They also detract from the rural nature of the area. They seriously detract from the residents ability to step out of the house at night and look up at the beautiful clear (between showers) star filled Hawaiian sky. No offence intended but that sounds like the desire of someone moving from the city. Where I've lived for the past 20 years we have no streetlights and I don't miss them. If you're outside for a few minutes your eyes will adjust and you will be able to see. With the lights your eyes will never adjust.

Nope,I've lived in my house in Hawaiian Beaches since it was built in 1988. I'm just looking at it in a safety situtation, especially during the evenings when there's alot of people walking and holoween when the kids are out.

There are streetlights that are designed to downcast light, but not up or out, to reduce light pollution while providing light on the ground.
