So, confronted them about it before, tonight again the entire house clearing is full of smoke and our eyes are watering - holy moly. Is this a 911 time? Is there a non-emergency line for the fire department?
help! Who to call when neighbors burn green wood?

I am not sure there is a non emergency FIRE dept #...may want to try the non-emergency Police dept #935-3311
Green as in treated (that must be old!) or green as to freshly cut.... that may may a difference when you call, as the older green wood was arsenic treated..

What are they burning it for? Im pretty sure there is still a burning ban in effect. So unless it is some sort of cooking fire then the fire dept would/could tell them they need to extinguish it.
If its for cooking they wont do anything. __"Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement."__

Freshly cut wood not aresenic treated - thank diety.
Since it was a saturday night - in the wvening i'm assuming they were having some sort of shindig. I decided not to call anyone but im sure not looking forward to talking to them again.

You could make a point of picking up some dryer logs 'for their next shindig'. That would get your point across without starting a war. you might even get an invite

they were probably making a smoke house fire. when smoking meat or fish, fresh cut guava wood is usually burnt atop the dry ohia or keawe wood to give the meat a smokier flavor.

If it's really smoky you could always call 911 and let the firemen bring their truck. If they don't put it out they could always make recommendations for averting future problems.

Wouldn't that just be the tiniest bit overkill? To waste the firebrigades time like that? Supposing that prevented them from being where they were supposed to be? Are you sure you really meant that?

Yeah I would be worried I might keep them from a real emergency.
