Seeking recommendations for outdoor work boots
#1
I need new outdoor work boots. The duct tape on my current boots is about worn out. I need soles that will last as long as practical on jagged abrasive lava rock, something with good ankle support for uneven terrain, and I'm not sure whether to seek a breathable waterproof (Gortex ™ like) barrier or instead something that isn't waterproof but dries quickly. And of course, unlike my Alaska boots, something that doesn't retain heat. Ain't nobody got time for that.

thanks in advance for any suggestions and/or humorous or snide anecdotes, criticisms, or observations.

Try Magnum brand work boots. That's what I use at work, pricey but comfortable and long lasting. They are currently available at sports authority in HILO.

I've got Asolos with vibram soles. They've lasted a few years now, and are still going strong. Super comfortable too.

Go to sports authority to get your size on the Magnums and then order from Amazon for lower price, no shipping and no tax!

Thanks for this topic.
The wet here is hard on boots.
How do the brands mentioned above hold up to the wet conditions?
