Have you folks seen the new Apple iPod Nano commercial on tv yet? It has a real catchy tune. Kinda has that 70's feel to it. Wouldn't be fun to make a video of this with a bunch of Punatics? Simplicity is what this video is with a good vibe to it!

I don't watch TV anymore (too busy outside & get news from online now), BUT -
I think the band Queen did a Hawaiian-style song: "Rain Must Fall". Kinda calypso/disco beat from the Miracle CD (& I bought it in Hilo, too). Sung by Freddie Mercury so its late 1980s. Its MY Hawaiian anthem - try it! (Love it while I'm on the highway!)

What a fun idea Beachboy, film a dance routine at a Puna Web Party!!
Yes Morgan lady I'd like to be on the purple team, the dance steps seem pretty easy! LOL
How about Queen Platinum Album 6:16 min "Now I'm Here", don't think I could do the whole 6 minutes though!
I WILL NEVER forget the day I met Brian May!

Hey Beach,
How about a Hula to Jimmy Buffetts "A Pirate looks at 40" you know mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call! From the album A 1A.
Glen could wear his sarong, we could have liliqoi margaritas, to improve dance steps and sway!

I am a editor. Keep in mind while watching this video that there are NO CUTS. This is a one take performance. Audio playback begins, everyone does their thing. What you don't see are the dozens of incomplete takes where someone screws up at some point. Also think about how the camera is moving, and what it takes to make the camera move the way it does. I would like to know how much rehearsal went into the dance moves before they started rolling film or tape. The feeling I get is these are not professional dancers, but more of a "we are fun real people makeing a video". Also, you can bet this was shot over and over and over until they got it right. This is why it was shot on a stage, where you can control everything, lighting, sound, traffic, and shooting can go on all day and all night, if need be. The rotating camera may have be been done in post production, or could have be a computer controlled motor driven arm. They saved money on editing, because there is no editing, rare is this world of MTV one edit every 20 frames or something is wrong I can't pay attention if I'm not hit over the head with flash cuts and effects. It looks as if she just wanted to be herself and real.

It worked...very catchy tune and video. Nice to see simple, clean production.

I'd like to share a music video sent by a former colleague. It was prepared by a group of American peacekeepers stationed outside Pristina, Kosovo. Please listen carefully to the lyrics - what a creative, talented group!
