I was very impressed with all of the volunteers I saw last night...
To say evacuating last night was interesting is an understatement, I Have always staid in place, but when the first band of strong winds hit & my rafters were rumbling & a tree nearby snapped....
I thought, do I want to be here if there is 6 hours of these winds... since it was still light & drizzley, I hedged my bets... packing up 1 house& 2 reformed feral cats & the dog...
I really had no idea what to expect...but everyone there was helpful & ... well think about volunteering to be responsible for over 300 worried people & over 20 peoples scared pets... as you are also not knowing what you will go home to....
