It's in the news all over the world. BBC, UK broadsheets, CNN etc. I'm getting emails from UK people I haven't heard from in years asking about it.

We were on NBC Nightly News this evening.

It was on NBC NYC local News today, as well. Brian Williams reported on it, I believe. I saw it on a nationwide website, as well.

I ran into a famous movie producer in a drug store in Pahoa. He said I could be a big star! I'm going to his Vacation rental for an audition!

CNN's website today said Pahoa was a beach community, they also said Highway 130 separates Puna from the rest of the county, not connects. I think their reporter lacks the most basic map reading skills.

HLN has has us as a "small community" that "might get cut off" from the rest of the island, not even a big enough story (to them) to actually name the district or the town(s) affected...then they segued into a story about kim kardashian (on which i am pretty sure they spent about double the time talking about than the lava flow story) and then my head exploded and i had to come back to this forum to get the real news.

San Francisco Chronicle too!

How odd for an area that is never mentioned anywhere, we have been in the National headlines for two straight months now...

Not exactly how it shows on the map, but ... I find this statement strangely accurate.
