I agree D.E. a little dust up now and then keeps me interested. Especially with all the lava prognosticators. If they could learn to be quarellsome with out being vulgar they might keep Robs finger off the delete button. Just my guess.

Maybe I will go back to the G M O threads there's always a dust up waiting to happen on those threads. Kind of left there with my tail between legs last time I visited that subject. They play rough and are convinced they are 100 percent right on booth sides. Didn't see moose or oneself playing in that sand box did ya.

That sort of rude, crude and unpleasant behavior is exactly the last thing we need, especially at this time. For every "interesting" newbie we get we seem to lose two really good long time punawebbers.
If that is what you like the comments section for any CNN online article should fit the bill, Punaweb is different, although if enough unpleasant people keep joining and stirring the pot that will change. Not saying I enjoy the rude crude aspect myself. Not saying I disagree with Robs actions none of my business really. More like I enjoy the diversity of opinions on Puna web and I always enjoy heated debate though I rarely agree wholeheartedly with either side. Those sour apples and inflammatory opinions remind me life is not all koom by ya and smores by the campfire. Unfortunately the lava is already bringing the crime spree with it as I heard of 3 people today who had property stollen from their homes/land yesterday. I dare say that protect me and mine attitude of oneself's May become a necessity in lower Puna in the near future. IMO.

Pog, I potentially live in the path of the lava flow, is that ENOUGH for you? A**WIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pog, I came here because I wanted to live on an active volcano. There for I not only knew their could be a lava issue I fully expected lava to be an issue. Read a few of those 295+or- posts and you will see I all but predicted natural disaster to arrive in Puna with me. Now I've been here 11 weeks Tuesday. So far 1 hurricane and now what may be a very destructive lava flow. I certainly don't wish harm to anyone and I have more empathy than most people would think possible. I have lived through big quakes(Northridge) and big floods (johnstown)and now I'm going to live through the puna flow. I will probably help some folks in this event just like the others. Though this event has a long way to go to be as costly in lives or property as those unexpected and unpredictable disasters. So I'll count my blessings as the lava flows. I'll be glad to help anyone in need anyway I can. And when the loss of property or God forbid life becomes reality I will truly feel a empathetic sadness not familiar to many. Until that time I'm going to prepare to be further cut off from civilization than I already am. All the while not worrying and being happy. Personally I'd rather throw my self in the lava than spend my life worrying about it. Prepare yes, stay informed yes, let it consume you with worry, if you must. Me I'm more worried about next month's earthquake
