Our neighbors have been setting propane bombs for three days all day now all night. Our dog is traumatized, even after medication he cant stop shaking. the windows rattle and makes you wanna hit the floor. I'm hoping they'll blow themselves up one of these times. Frikken idiots. Ghetto mentality at it finest with these people. One of them has a dog that's perpetually in a kennel. And every time one goes off he just cries like he's dying.

Happy New Year!

The fireworks display at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel just got over, very impressive show. Never seen Kauna'oa beach that packed before!

For someone who spent untold pages writing about air quality hazards from the lava flow, you seem strangely oblivious to the crap we had to breathe for hours because of law-breaking neighbors. Aside from animals being traumatized, my roof and water catchment are covered with debris, the road is littered to beyond ugly, and I had to put out three sparks that flew into my yard and could have spread into a fire in this dry weather. You have a strange idea of 'impressive'.

Please let's not start the year with simple bickering.

Punaperson - it's not meant to be dismissive or callous to the problems caused. We lit no fireworks and are also dealing with freaked out pets, messy streets, raspy throats, and little sleep.
All that said the display was impressive and rivaled many professional programs seen here and elsewhere. For anyone with a view from upper Puna, it must have been incredible. Now off to clean up the mess. |
