Mold Inhibitor
#1
I heard about a mold inhibitor additive that you can mix into your house paint. Is this a real thing? Does it work? Is it available on the B.I.? Is it affordable?
Thanks all!

You can buy paint that has a mildew inhibitor in it already. I believe Behr and Zissner have a line with it. Or you can buy an additive and mix it yourself:

Seems to have gotten good reviews. I used the Behr paint on my bathrooms and have no mold, but I don't live in a humid environment either.

Bi, we have 4 packets of M-1 Advanced Mildewcide (each packet treats 1 gal) that we will not be using - if interested respond below or email through forum (but that sometime does not go through, so maybe both if you really want them!

We did use it for back priming our studio walls that have wallboard... did not need for the Hardipanel walls, so have too much!...have no idea if it works, as we also did every thing we could to eliminate anything that would feed mold/mildew & keep all walls DRY!

Thanks Carey! I'm not ready to build yet, let alone paint! Still that was very kind of you.

Well, if anyone else would like 4 packets (each treats a gallon of paint) stop on by...have them out to give away!

We had a badly-ventilated bathroom that formed mildew like nobody's business.
We repainted with the paint with mildewcide additive and never had a problem again.
