I'll sign that! While I do kinda like the scent, when it's overpowering it smells terrible.

A friend of mine has a T-shirt that reads "Patchouli is NOT Deoderant!" He lives in Boulder, CO, patchouli capital of the mainland, and wears it all the time.

LOL, I spent a lot of time on Haight/Ashbury & developed an avid dislike of Patchouli. Last year my friend got me into natural perfumery. She whipped out a bottle of Patchouli and I visibly cringed Smile She promised me that pure, unadulterated Patchouli doesn't smell like the 'hippie Haight patchouli". I humored her & took a sniff...believe it or not, it really does smell quite nice, nothing like the stuff I can't stand!

Brings back bad smelling memories!

But good songs!

"That Smell" by Lynyrd Skynyrd

CHORUS-
Ooh, ooh that smell
Can't you smell that smell?
Ooh, ooh that smell
The smell of death surrounds you.

Whenever I smell patchouli here I come to one of two conclusions: either the wearer has just smoked da chronic or hasn't had a bath in a month, maybe both.

hee. There was a sign on a shop door on Haight street:
"no shoes, no shirt, no shower, no service"

I always thought it smelled like moldy dirt.
