Cricket Wireless coverage
#1
My ATT contract has run out as well as my smartphone and I do not want to renew with them. The reception here in lower hpp (5th street and Makuu) is horrible. I noticed Cricket wireless had no contract wireless plans for $50.00. Does anyone in HPP use cricket? And if so..how is the reception. I also need to replace my phone.....but am not paying $800.00 for one.

Since Cricket Wireless is the wholly owned pre-paid wireless subsidiary of AT&T... they will simply be using AT&T's towers...

There is nothing better than Verizon. I'm at 3rd and Makuu w/no problems whatsoever. I even get the signal in the house.

I got Verizon after Izelle when my AT and T didn't work at all. Had to go up to the Highway to get any reception. Every time the Police passed by here, he let me use his phone. (Verizon). I was sold. Got new phone free with 2 year contract. Totally worth the price (to me) for dependable reception.

We have been really happy with a cheap flip phone and the pay as you go no contract Net-10 service, super cheap (less than $25 a month) and now that they switched our phone to a verizon tower instead of the nearest ATT one when we use the phone at home the service is great in HPP. Net-10 contracts to use everyone's towers, so we get service anywhere on the island that has at least one tower available.

Page Plus uses the Verizon network.
Prepaid plans start at $29.95.
Decent phones at $50.00, no monthly rental fee.

Would be nice to get some people you can trust. get the 5 line and each person would pay 25 bucks! Big Grin

Not bad for LTE 4G 2.5 Gigs of data and all you can talk/text. and no overage is it just slows way down when you use all your data.

They just put a new ATT tower in hawaiian shores/beaches and cricket works well.

I have AT&T. I'm in Eden Roc. I got a booster system with an antenna on the roof and another antenna inside. Everyone within range of the inside antenna gets boosted. Works pretty good.

AT&T rep said even though all HPP is in their 4G zone...there are some drop off areas but he said if I buy a signal enhancer from them for $149.00 which plugs into our wifi router that the problem should be solved. I didn't buy it.
